Well, this is it! The moment we (and I!) have been waiting for- the Final 3!
After 3 months, exhaustive auditions, photoshoots and incredible locations we are down to our trio of terrifically talented models...
As this will be my last musing for this season I thought I would focus on our lovely ladies and their amazing journey.
My job primarily is to make sure the girls are ready and understand the realities of working as a model in the real world. This competition is fun and pretty fierce so I have to make sure the girls are prepared mentally as well as physically, and this year we have had the best students so far.
Liz I think has grown the most (not in height, I mean c’mon she’s already 7 feet tall!) in the competition. From a shy and insecure teen not believing in herself, to a fully fledged and confident model- I almost feel like we have seen Liz grow up on national television! Liz is a stunning, sweet and talented woman who has the world and a successful career at her feet. I just hope that she can see how wonderful and gorgeous she really is- I know we always go on about this but inner confidence is so important and an essential key to keeping on top in this fickle and image conscious industry. Liz has all the makings of a model; I sincerely hope she knows it too...
Montana IS a model- there I’ve said it!
From day one, Monty has proved to be photographically, physically and psychologically ready to strut the catwalk and ace an editorial. What you might not see, is the Monty we see- sweet as candy and as scattered as an Alley Cat! It is so refreshing and enlightening to meet a girl who belies her own natural beauty. I honestly don’t think Montana knows how incredible she is- She’s a lovable dork, popular with the other models but still a fierce competitor. It has been an absolute joy to watch her journey. Montana is and will be a successful model- I have no doubt...
And lastly our blonde bombshell Simone. Having copped a lot of flak for her outspoken nature and frank comments Simone is a trooper and she just keeps going and it was a delight to see her improve each and every week.
When you spend as much time as we do together and under rather crazy circumstances you really get an insight into someone’s character and personality. Simone would have to be one of the most hilarious girls I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She had the girls, crew and me in stitches with her zany stories and off colour jokes. If she doesn’t become a model I think a talk show gig would suit her perfectly! I love her openness and outlook on life. Some might say bitchy but I say Ballsy! She’s going to need all her strength to stay ahead in this line of work.
The real unsung heroes in this wonderfully wacky and fast paced season are the crew. You can’t see them, but we can’t hang girls off cranes or pluck them from perilously windswept islands without them! This season has been our biggest yet and it has been a learning curve for me as much as the models. It is such an honour to be surrounded by talented, insightful and beautiful people every day. It is fun, friendly and frivolous- just what a show like this should be.
I just hope you have enjoyed watching it as much as we do making it...
The Live Final is the last hurdle for our most fabulous final 3- so enjoy it and VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!
Only one can win, but to me these three stunners already have.
