Charlotte Dawson is a television presenter, columnist, fashion & beauty expert, inspirational speaker and fabulous MC.
Charlotte is the well known out-spoken and sometimes controversial judge on Foxtel’s ratings winner, Australia’s Next Top Model. The live Finale show in spring 2010 was the highest rating TV series ever onsubscription TV, making headlines around the world. Charlotte contributes as a freelance writer and commentator across all forms of media in Australia and New Zealand and she is a regular guest across all networks including weekly segments on Channel 7’s Sunrise and The Morning Show.
Charlotte also has appearances on the Today Show, Today Tonight, The 7PM Project. In the past she was the face of Fox 8 and this included being the host of The Contender Australia – the unscripted drama about the lives,fears and hopes of 14 professional super middleweight boxers as they compete for the chance to forever change their lives and the lives of the people they love.
Charlotte’s media career began as a television fashion journalist for the Today Show (Nine Network) where she filed fashion and beauty stories in Australia and Internationally for over five years and also made guest appearances on Wide World of Sports, A Current Affair, Looking Good and Nightline. Charlotte was the style & celebrity correspondent for Network Tens E! News and hosted her own E! News celebrity entertainment segment, What’s Going On? She also appeared as a regular panellist on Beauty and the Beast (Foxtel/Network Ten) and hosted a weekly fashion segment on Good Morning Australia.
Charlotte’s editorial positions have included Fashion and Beauty Director of Woman’s Day Magazine and Style Director at New Idea and she has consistently worked as a freelance fashion and beauty journalist. She has also kept her modelling up becoming the ambassador for Howard Showers in 2010/11. Charlotte has also worked extensively in New Zealand, as host and producer of the New Zealand version of Getaway, hosting How’s Life?(a TV panel programme) and penning an advice column in Woman’s Day NZ.
With Charlotte’s well respected style and fashion knowledge she was the perfect fit to be the Ambassador of Howard Showers for 2010-2011.Charlotte collaborated with the designers and launched a red-carpet piece each month, which were then quickly snapped up within the collection. Charlotte co-produced a documentary ‘Charlottes Web’ about the search for her birth mother and published her autobiography ‘Charlottes Secrets (Penguin Books) in 2004. She has also performed on stage in Kevin Jacobsen’s Girls Night Out and the hugely popular Vagina Monologues.
